
Get ready for an evening filled with colour, culture, creativity and community spirit at Harmony at the Lake! This multicultural celebration brings together music, dance, delicious food, and hands-on activities for all ages.

FREE for the local community to attend – just turn up at the lake.

We have a mix of multicultural stage performances and creative community activities to keep everyone entertained.

Hands-on creative activities will take place in surrounding stalls between 5pm and 8pm and include:
- Origami
- Calligraphy and Chinese paper cutting
- Watercolour painting of Australian native plants and animals.
Stage Entertainment
5.30-6.00pm: Valerie Heston School of Dance. This premier dance studio located in City of Cockburn specialises in high-quality dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels. Audiences can enjoy a selection of performances by dancers, showcasing routines from their recent competition season.
6.15-7.15pm: African Drumming Workshop. Established in 1996, Akwaaba delivers energetic and interactive performances, drum circles, and workshops using traditional African hand drums and percussion instruments to promote harmony and cultural understanding. Join them at the main stage from 6:15 PM for an inclusive, interactive drum circle – open to all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
7:45-8:15pm: Bollywood Dancing Performance. With a mission to promote Indian culture and the message of “Unity in Diversity”, Bollywood Dance N Beats is more than just a dance group – it’s a celebration of community, connection, and cultural pride. Catch their vibrant Bollywood performance at 7:45 PM on the main stage, then stick around to meet the dancers and join them on the dance floor as the DJ keeps the energy going!
Creative Activities
5.00-8.00pm: Origami. Join Sanny Ang, a talented origami artist from Perth, for a fun and creative activity. Known for his unique Storigami workshops, Sanny combines storytelling and origami, guiding both kids and adults to craft beautiful paper models as the story unfolds. Don’t miss this hands-on experience that’s as imaginative as it is inspiring!
5.00-8.00pm: Calligraphy & Paper Cutting. Join the local Chung Wah Association (Atwell branch) for a great hands-on experience to learn and try:
- Chinese calligraphy — the art of creating beautiful, expressive characters with brush or pen
- Paper cutting – a traditional craft that uses intricate designs cut from paper to create decorative patterns.
5.00-8.00pm: Water Colour Painting. Come have fun painting and drawing local flowers and animals with watercolours! Blank and pre-printed paper will be on hand, provided by Coral Pea Designs, so no matter your skill level, you can jump right in and have fun.
Food & Drink
A variety of food trucks will offer a mix of cultural food and drink, available for purchase at the event.
Savoury Eats
- Asian: Street Food Lab. Treat your taste buds to the bold flavours of Asia from Street Food Lab. Enjoy crispy golden chicken karaage trays, Japanese-style loaded fries, savoury satay sticks, deep-fried squid tentacles, delicious dumplings and more!
- French: Excuse My French. Bringing a taste of France to Lake Treeby, this gourmet crêpe stall serves up delicious, made-to-order French crêpes with both sweet and savoury options. Don’t miss the “Crêpe of the Day” – a surprise flavour that could be anything!
- Moroccan: Shak Shuka. Enjoy fresh, wholesome Moroccan street food — from slow-cooked chicken tagine and a signature Shak Shuka, to fluffy pita pockets filled with grilled meats or veggies. All made with house recipes and local WA produce.
- Western: Mr Fish & Chips. Enjoy fresh-cut fish and chips made to order. Choose from sides like gravy and curry sauce, enjoy crispy chicken nuggets, and discover more delicious options on the menu.
Drinks & Dessert
- Crush Juice Van. Cool down with a range of fresh fruit juices, icy crushes, and healthy smoothies. Feeling creative? You can also combine different fruits to make your own juice blend.
- Sweet Food Lab. Sweet meets crunchy with a variety of croffles on offer such as Tim Tam, Biscoff, and more—plus a selection of creamy gelato flavours to enjoy by the lake!
