Carol is the foundation Principal for Piara Waters Senior High School after having worked in the WA Education system for 23 years as a Teacher, Program Coordinator, Associate Principal and Principal in both the independent and public-school sectors. Carol commenced as a Teacher in Durban, South Africa and progressed in her career as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer for 12 years at a Further Education and Training institution, prior to migrating to Australia.  Principal Daniels says:

“I am a strong advocate for public education and value diversity and connection to community. Mutual respect and the maintenance of positive relationships with all stakeholders is highly valued. The teaching of values education and the recognition and respect of cultural diversity is important for a society that aims to raise resilient and connected children. About Piara Waters Senior High School’s Artwork & Logo

The artwork at Piara Waters Senior High School is a cylindrical stairwell. The modular sculptural design in the cladding of the spiral stairways resembles a helix. The helix is found in nature and is also a symbol of resilience. The helix represents the school’s connection to land, water and culture.

The upward spiral of the logo design represents the pathways that the students will take into the future. The inner circle of the logo depicts the school community including teachers, students, parents, carers learning and growing together to become a strong and resilient community.

Together the artwork and logo exemplify the school’s vision – for every student a pathway to success.
