Below are the latest updates about the new Primary School, sporting recreation reserve, our second Display Village, Harmony construction and roadworks,

Primary School

Construction has commenced on site and the new Primary School, located right in Lake Treeby, is on track to open in February 2028.  See more about schools and universities near to Lake Treeby here.

Sporting Recreation Reserve

The City of Cockburn ran a community feedback process between 20th July to 17th August, 2026 for the draft master plan for the new 3.5 hectare sporting recreation reserve.  The sporting recreation reserve is located north of the lake and immediately south of the future Primary School in Lake Treeby and will be delivered by the City of Cockburn.  The draft plan included a range of features such as

• A playground
• Skate and scooter elements
• Junior dirt pump track
• Picnic and BBQ facilities
• Walking and cycling paths
• Sporting infrastructure
• A future community and sport building.

Some key elements, including the playing field, shared-use arrangements with the future primary school and essential infrastructure, are already confirmed.

The reserve is proposed to be delivered in stages to prioritise delivery of sufficient grassed area to support the opening of the Primary School in 2028.  Stage 1 is anticipated to deliver the grassed area, access from to the school, cricket nets, jump pit, netball ring, circuit path, playground and basic park infrastructure.

Our Second Display Village.

The display homes in our second Display Village are already under construction and are expected to open in early 2027.  You can view our current Display Village here.

Harmony Construction Update

Stage 1 civil works (63 lots) have been completed and roads are now open to the public.

Landscaping to the new park in Harmony Stage 1 has now commenced and is expected to be completed in early 2027.

Stage 2 civil works (68 lots) are now completed.  Roads will be open to the public during the day but will be closed at night until the streetlights have been energised by Western Power.  

Bulk earthworks are currently in progress for some future stages, following which Stage 3 civil works (80 lots) will commence.

Roadworks

The extension of Torwood Ave to connect the southern end of Lake Treeby with the northern Harmony end will be constructed as part of Stage 3 civil works.  This is expected to be completed by mid-2027.  Check the Estate Plan here to see how the final road will look. 

Jandakot Rd will be upgraded to 4 lanes for a portion of the Lake Treeby Harmony frontage and design and approvals are currently in progress.  Construction may occur in 2027, subject to approvals and market conditions.
